Camilla wins the Plastic Prize 2019
With great pleasure we are able to say that our Director of Business Development, Camilla Haustrup Hermansen, has won the Plastic Prize 2019. The prize is given by the Danish Plastics Federation. Every year since 1987, it is given to people, products, companies or institutions that have shown a leading performance in the Danish plastics industry.
Camilla was 1 of 5 nominees for the prize, which all have, each in their own way, made a huge effort for the plastics industry. “The greatest honour lays in being nominated together with such a strong field. I should not stand here when I do not have a concrete solution. But now that I stand here, I just want to say thank you. And then I want to say that I only stand here because I have so many passionate colleagues who back me up. In fact, they are the ones who deliver the utmost effort”, Camilla says in her thank you speech.
She has shown how to take responsibility for plastic food packaging as an active participant in the plastics debate and in the discussion towards more sustainable production and consumption. In addition, she contributed to projects like “From Philanthropy to Business” and the development of the “Danish Design Manual”. Also, she writes a monthly newspaper column to expand the public’s knowledge about packaging and circular economy.
